Early Flood Detection
At Geotech, we had the pleasure of partnering with a local fire department from the Atlanta area fire department to install two remote telemetry systems providing early flood detection and community alert services. As an industry leader in environmental monitoring and data collection systems, we were approached by the fire department to provide a solution.
This style telemetry system features a variety of sensors that collect and transmit water levels data, precipitation, and other factors that can lead to flooding. The system then transmits this information to the fire department in real-time, allowing them to issue early warnings to the community and take necessary measures to ensure residents' safety.
Once installed, Geotech worked closely with the fire department to ensure that they were trained on how to access information and limits indicating potential flooding events. With the systems installed, the fire department can now monitor water levels remotely and analyze the data anytime.
